2008 Winner Honored
2008 AARP National Spelling Bee Champion Larry Grossman of Northwood, North Dakota, took part in a skit celebrating major events in AARP’s 50-year history at the annual Life@50+ event Sept. 4-6, 2008. Larry re-enacted his victory at the Bee by spelling the winning word, debouch, before a crowd of more than 25,000 people in Washington, DC.
