Preparing for the Bee?  Carolyn Andrews, of the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee, has prepared an excellent guide for participants of that Bee, and her ideas work well for any spelling bee. Carolyn’s Corner

For more information on securing study lists for the Bee we suggest that you order the Paideia, a booklet published by Scripps Howard and used for the National Spelling Bee for children. This booklet contains beginning, intermediate, and advanced spelling lists.

Bill Long has competed in the National Senior Spelling Bee for the past two years, finishing in the top three each time.  He prepared a blog about his experiences in preparing for the Bee, and it is excellent reading.
